It does not work when there is power. It does not work when there is a power cut.
It does not work without power because the CTO finds it too expensive to arrange for a backup to the lines and servers that is responsible for net in my area. And it does not work when there is power because, due to power fluctuations some or the other switch on the route is either fucked up or better hung. Other than that, there are Sify’s own servers which can go down at the head quarters. So the best I could get was speeds ranging from 15 bytes to 1.2 KBs for 2 hrs today’s afternoon. Other than that it was just useless…
