airtel Mobile suffered a major downtime in Delhi NCR region
airtel has confirmed that their network suffered a major downtime in Delhi in the evening yesterday.
The network was totally inaccessible. There was no connectivity to make calls. We could not even get the data connection working. Though some people said that 3G was working for them.
The company said in a message:
An unforeseen technical outage had affected services on some of our circuits. As a result some of Airtel Delhi Mobile subscribers experienced connectivity issues. The network is up now. We deeply regret the inconvenience.
airtel has not revealed anything about the so called technical outage. We hope that this does not happen again. The problem was rather painful because PCOs have largely become extinct in metro cities. I tried pretty hard but could not locate any in Connaught Place at around 9 PM.
