Live in Finland? Broadband is your legal right now!
Finland has become the coolest country to live in now!
The country has made broadband access a legal right for their people.
Starting today, every citizen in the country has the legal right to demand 1mbps broadband connection.
They are not satisfied with this alone. They are targeting to deliver 100mbps connectivity to everyone by 2015.
This announcement means that all ISPs in the country are now required to provide 1mbps minimum speeds on their packages.
The Finland government spoke about this legislation: “We considered the role of the internet in Finns everyday life. Internet services are no longer just for entertainment.”
We can only hope that other governments around the country learn from this. India? Yes Please.
