Reliance GSM to launch Mobile TV services
Reliance Communications has announced that they are in talks with Apalya Technologies to launch Mobile TV services on their GSM network.
Reliance and Apalya would together offer this mobile television service through proprietary Mimobi platform.
Reliance is incidentally already offering similar services on their CDMA network.
Reliance said in a statement: “In order to offer the Mobile TV application on its GSM network and to increase the number of handsets that can support the Mobile TV application, we are tying up with Apalya to enhance the width of usage.”
The company is in a deal with ESPN which enabled them to broadcast all ICC World T20 matches through the R-World VAS platform.
